Text Box: GARDEN DETAILS
The garden is approx. one third of an acre with a small courtyard & a one acre paddock & is set in the small village of Turnditch. Nestling in beautiful rolling Derbyshire countryside between Ashbourne, Belper & Wirksworth, it is ideally situated for further exploration of the Peak District. There is adjacent car parking & disabled access to the garden.
The partially walled garden has large borders bursting with a wide variety of colourful & interesting spring & summer flowering herbaceous plants & shrubs. This includes an ever increasing collection of Hostas & Hardy Geraniums.   Climbers ramble through hedges, trees & a large gazebo.   Pots, troughs & baskets display colourful seasonal interest.   Small water features and pleasant seating areas enable visitors to relax & enjoy the garden & the surrounding countryside.  Vegetables & fruit are grown in two greenhouses & in a large vegetable plot in the paddock.   At the bottom of the paddock there is a wild area with a small overgrown stream.
Changes to the garden for 2008 include the re-planting of one of the island beds due to the sad demise of our large cherry tree.
There is adjacent car parking & disabled access to the garden.
